young hos type shit is a self-published artist book that examines performance, self-perception, and identity within digital space. Using iPhone photography, archived internet imagery, memes, screenshots, and visual caricature, the work considers how the “self” is constructed, performed, and circulated online. What began as an ironic gesture rooted in meme culture evolved into a material investigation of self-portraiture in the age of the internet. The project explores self-humiliation rituals, aesthetics of oversharing, and the blurred boundary between authenticity and performance. Drawing from the language of social media and viral image culture, the work investigates how identity becomes curated through repetition, irony, and spectacle. young hos type shit questions who we become once we enter digital space.
