This series explores the universality of grief through the evocative symbolism of the Three of Swords. Using antique magazine paper as a canvas, I reflect on the layers of collective trauma and history embedded in these fragments of the past. Each of the 23 prints corresponds to a year of my life, marking how grief has shaped and accompanied my journey.
The imagery—carefully selected scenes of people or moments in turmoil—serves as a mirror to shared human suffering. The antique paper adds a tactile connection to the weight of memory and loss, linking personal experiences with a broader historical narrative. Through this work, I aim to create a space for empathy, inviting viewers to confront their own experiences of grief while recognizing its collective nature.
